Drea Sobke is a Mexican-American movement artist from San Diego, California whose work closely explores the relationship between the human body and pop, fine art, landscapes, architecture and design.  She has performed and/or collaborated closely with Genevieve Carson and the following choreographers via Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company: Micaela Taylor, Stephanie Zaletel, Roya Carreras, Rebecca Lemme, Laurel Jenkins Tentindo, Holly Rothschild, Nathan Makolandra, Kevin Williamson, Kate Hutter, David Bridel, and Adam Parson. Drea has also performed as a company member or guest artist with Helios Dance Theater, Rosanna Gamson/WorldWide, Backausdance, Malashock Dance, Sarah Elgart | Elegant Elbow, San Diego Dance Theater, Heidi Duckler Dance, String Theory Harp, visual artist James Mountford and her partner Robert Amjärv.

Drea's choreography has been presented by NOH Wave Gallery, American College Dance Festival, The Choreography Festival (formerly Dance Under The Stars), SOLA Dance Festival, and most recently was commissioned as a collaborator for Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company's newest immersive work, TERRA.

Drea holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Chapman University and is a 2 time recipient of the Lester Horton Award for Outstanding Achievement in Performance by a Female.

Additional dancer credits include The Emmys, Sundance Film Festival, Porsche, Bvlgari, La Mer, Bench Universe, CottonOn, TEDx, Samsung, Vomir, Southwest Airlines, Ubikwist Magazine and music videos for Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, TESS and Hoko. 

Drea is also a certified movement educator in the Gyrotonic® and Pilates methods (Body Arts and Sciences International - 2006) and teaches in East Los Angeles.  pilatestechnica.com
